- On August 6th 2014 the ESA's Rosetta spacecraft reached Comet 67P. Then on November 12th,
its lander module Philae successfully landed on the comet.
- Churyumov–Gerasimenko was discovered by Klim Ivanovich Churyumov in 1969.
- The ratio of deuterium to hydrogen in the water from the comet was
measured to be 3 times more than water on Earth.
